💥Definition of Recount Text

Recount text is a type of text in English that tells about a story, action, or activity. Usually, recount text tells about someone's experience. The purpose of recount text is to entertain the reader, so that there is no conflict in this text. In addition, this text also aims to provide information to readers.

💥 Recount Text Features

* Using Past Tense sentences (past), such as went, departed, would, woke up, and so on.

* Using adverbs and adverbial phrases to express the time, place and manner, such as: last September, Pari Island, on then second day, and so on.

* Using conjunctions and time connectives to sort events or events, such as: and, before, then, after that, and so on

💥 Generic Structure of Recount Text

1. Orientation

Tells about the background information about who, where, when the incident or event occurred.

2. Events

Tells a series of events that occurred in chronological order.

3. Re-orientation

Is the closing or conclusion of the story. To close a story, we can give our opinion about the story.

💥Type

Recount text has several types of text that you can use for writing standards, but they must be adjusted to the purpose of the writing itself.

Here are the types:

1. Personal Recount

Personal recount is a recount text with a function to tell about the personal experience of the author.

For example, vacation experiences, getting married, and others.

2. Imaginative

Imaginative is a type of recount text with a function to present an imaginative story. Then pour it into the story of events or incidents that have occurred.

3. Factual Recount

Factual recount is a type of recount text with a function to present a report of actual events / facts.

For example scientific reports, science experiment reports, loss reports and others.

4. Historical Recount

This type tells about history, both historical sites and historical objects. For example, the story of the Prambanan temple.

💥Example of recount text

To be honest, I rarely go out, and in this opportunity I was invited by my sister to attend a concert of a famous singer who is booming. He is Tulus

The event was at Dufan, I was invited by my sister to accompany him to watch the concert, I accepted the offer, the event started at around 8pm and I came around 3 hours to play rides first and it seemed uhhh... crowded, I'm not a fan heavy but I know the songs and my sister is a fan. we started to interrupt it and I was not too far from the stage I joined the jostling I was tired and tired, there I was limp, I went to my sister to go back and sit, it turned out that I was not alone and some even fainted because the artist was not sincere there are several other artists.

I sat and rested I waited for my sister and finally finished the concert that night before going home, my sister and I ate first. I already guessed that the place to eat must be crowded and it turned out that I really took my food, then I ate in the car and I went home. It was very tired but it was fun calculating the experience
