        You have all seen or even read descriptive texts.  explain about something by explaining it in detail.  For example, we make a descriptive text about someone, well in the text we will explain how that person is, or we can also mention the characteristics of that person.

First I will explain what descriptive text is.
              Descriptive text is an explanation that describes something.  like, we describe something, or we can also describe someone.

So, in this blog, I will show you the descriptive text that I created



The National Monument, commonly called Monas, is a memorial to the persistence of the Indonesian people against Dutch East Indies colonialism.  Its construction began on the 16th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) in 1961. Frederich Silaban and R.M.  Soedarsono became the architect for this monument.


     This 132 meter high monument was officially opened to the public by President Soeharto on July 12, 1975. It is located right in the heart of the capital.  Precisely at Medan Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta.


President Soekarno asked architect RM Soedarsono to make a design for the construction of the Monas Monument.  Soedarsono included the numbers 17, 8, and 45 which symbolized the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day in the design of the monument's dimensions.

    The National Memorial Monument which links to the National Monument or poluler, abbreviated as the Monas Monument, was then built in an area of ​​80 hectares.  This Monas Monument was built on August 17, 1961 as high as 132 meters.

     Monas Monument is located right in the hands of Medan Merdeka Square, opposite Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta Municipality.  Tugu Monas was opened to the public on July 12, 1975. This monument is crowned with flames covered with gold sheets which symbolize the burning spirit of struggle.
